Each phase of our program builds upon the prior phase. You move forward when you are ready, not when a calendar says so.
Clients settle into their sober living homes, begin working on their recovery wellness action plans and establish a support system to help maintain recovery. Clients must seek employment, attend daily mutual support meetings and abstain from alcohol and any mood- or mind-altering substance. Staff provide mandatory drug screening and breathalyser for all clients.
Clients continue their efforts from Phase 1 while working on essential life skills such as managing a chore list and creating a personal budget. During this phase clients attend mutual support groups and work on recovery and relapse prevention, developing life skills and addressing issues such as co-dependency and anger management with their peer support specialists.
Clients continue completing the tasks outlined in Phases 1 and 2. Case managers and peer support specialists keep regular check-ins, providing emotional care and monitoring progress, and clients receive additional benefits as outlined in the program. At the end of Phase 3, clients graduate — but not before we meet with each client to create a transition plan their case manager must approve, plus a list of external resources including healthcare professionals, sponsors and educational institutions.
Foundations to Freedom offers alumni transitional housing for up to one year on a week-to-week lease agreement. Clients must continue to maintain employment, sustain recovery, submit to drug testing and participate in aftercare services with their peer support specialist and case management.

Foundations to Freedom holds Florida Association of Recovery Residences (FARR) certification, which aligns with the 2015 Florida Statute 397.487 for voluntary certification of recovery residences. We follow both the FARR and NARR codes of ethics, and there is a grievance process you can use.
